Who we are

ARM Electrix Ltd is an electrical contractor based in Houghton Conquest, Bedfordshire. For privacy questions or requests, email info@armelectrix.co.uk or write to ARM Electrix Ltd, Unit 38, 141 New Bedford Road, Luton, Bedfordshire, LU3 1LF. This is our postal correspondence address.

Information we collect

When you send an enquiry through our website, we receive the name, email address and message you enter, a telephone number if you provide one, and the date and source of the enquiry. Our website may also record limited technical information needed to operate and protect the contact form. Please do not include payment-card details, identity documents or sensitive personal information in a general enquiry.

How we use your information

We use enquiry information to respond, discuss the electrical work requested, prepare a quotation where appropriate, and manage related customer records and follow-up. The website saves contact-form submissions in its WordPress database and is configured to notify info@armelectrix.co.uk. The previous website database remains separately retained; it is subject to the retention approach below.

We plan to connect website enquiries to an ARM Electrix customer relationship management (CRM) system in the future. That connection is not active. If introduced, we intend to record the customer’s name, email, telephone number where supplied, enquiry details, date and source. Repeat enquiries may be linked to the same contact where reasonably identifiable while preserving each individual enquiry. We will review this policy before activating the connection if it changes how information is used or shared.

Sending an enquiry does not automatically add you to an email-marketing campaign. Marketing eligibility is managed separately. Acknowledging this policy in the contact form is not consent to marketing.

Lawful bases

When an individual asks us for a quotation or other steps before entering a contract, we use the information necessary to take those steps at their request. Where we carry out a contract with that individual, we use information necessary to perform it. For general enquiries, proportionate contact with business representatives and website protection, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running a secure electrical contracting business, after considering the person’s rights and interests. Where we must keep or use particular records to comply with a legal duty, we rely on legal obligation. The basis depends on the purpose and circumstances; these bases do not all apply to every enquiry.

Who receives information

IONOS provides our website hosting and stores the WordPress database. Microsoft 365 provides our business email service, including the info@ mailbox used for form notifications. People authorised to handle an enquiry or carry out the related work may access the information they need. The planned CRM does not currently receive website enquiries.

At launch, optional Google Analytics and Google Ads tracking will remain disabled. If we later introduce optional analytics or advertising tracking, we will update this policy and ask for the required cookie choice before the technology runs. Advertising campaigns are not activated by submitting the contact form.

Processing outside the UK

Our providers may process personal information outside the UK when supplying their services. IONOS states that its Web Hosting visitor data is not transferred to countries outside the EU; this statement concerns IONOS’s hosting-side visitor data and is not a claim that every type of information stays in the UK. Microsoft states that, where it transfers personal data outside the UK, it applies safeguards described in its published data-protection terms, including contractual safeguards. You can ask us for further information about a transfer relevant to your information using the contact details above.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry records while needed to respond, prepare a quotation, manage meaningful follow-up and deal with reasonable questions or disputes. We review enquiries that do not become work and delete or anonymise them when those purposes no longer justify keeping them. Where work proceeds, related job, accounting, electrical-certificate, warranty or dispute records may need to be retained for longer according to the applicable legal, contractual, safety or claims purpose. This approach covers records in WordPress, email, any future CRM and the previous website database; recoverable backups are considered as part of the same review. We do not keep identifiable records indefinitely merely because they exist in several systems.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis, you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict its use, receive a portable copy where applicable, or object to certain uses. To make a request, email info@armelectrix.co.uk or write to the address above. We will record the request, verify identity where reasonably needed, check the relevant records and respond within the time required by data-protection law. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

The website uses technology needed to operate its pages and protect its forms. Optional Google Analytics and Google Ads tracking will be disabled at launch. If optional tracking is introduced later, we will explain it and provide a choice before it runs, with a way to change or withdraw that choice.
