Electrical maintenance for commercial premises

ARM Electrix helps businesses and property managers plan electrical maintenance, repairs and changes to existing installations. Established since 2013, we welcome enquiries for individual premises and multiple sites, from recurring faults to a planned programme of work.

Planned maintenance requirements

Tell us which buildings or systems are involved, what existing records are available and whether there is an established maintenance schedule. For multiple sites, identify a main contact and any differences in access or operating hours.

Repairs and recurring faults

Describe the symptoms, affected area and any recent installation changes. Existing inspection reports or previous repair information can help establish the next step. Attendance and repair arrangements must be agreed for the individual requirement.

Alterations and ongoing electrical support

Maintenance enquiries can also involve additional circuits, changes to power or lighting, and work arising from an inspection. Tell us what must remain in use and whether work needs to be planned around occupants or trading hours.

Documentation and communication

Agree how findings, proposed work and completed actions will be recorded. For property-management clients, clarify who can authorise expenditure and who needs the resulting documentation.

Discuss your maintenance needs

Send the site locations, building types, key issues and desired timescale.

Information for property and facilities managers

Separate urgent faults from planned improvements and provide existing inspection reports where relevant. Tell us which buildings or circuits are affected and who controls access. Attendance, maintenance arrangements and response commitments must be agreed for the particular site.

From recurring faults to a planned programme

For a recurring fault, include when it occurs, which area or equipment is affected and whether recent alterations may be relevant. For planned maintenance, identify the premises, existing records and who will authorise access or isolation. A single repair enquiry and a multi-site maintenance programme need different scopes and scheduling.

What if an EICR recommends remedial work?

Send the report or the specific observation. The findings may need further assessment before a quotation is agreed; an inspection report does not itself include the remedial work. See our testing and EICR page.

For additions to power, lighting or distribution, see commercial installations and three-phase distribution. Tell us about your site and the issue so we can discuss the next step.
