Commercial EICRs and electrical testing

Discuss an Electrical Installation Condition Report or electrical testing for your office, school, workshop or managed property. ARM Electrix has been established since 2013 and undertakes inspection enquiries alongside installation and remedial work.

Agree the inspection scope

Provide the building type, approximate size, location and available installation records. For managed properties, include access arrangements and the parties responsible for authorising work. Confirm the inspection purpose and any documentation requirements before booking.

Plan access and interruption

Inspection and testing may require access to circuits, equipment and distribution boards. Discuss occupancy, operational restrictions and isolation arrangements in advance. The agreed scope and any limitations should be clear.

Understand findings and next steps

An EICR is a report, rather than a promise that an installation passes. Where remedial work is recommended, its scope and any further investigation should be reviewed before a quotation or completion programme is agreed.

Request an inspection discussion

Send the address or general site location, property type, reason for inspection and your required dates. Mention any existing report that is relevant.

Commercial premises and managed properties

For an office, school, workshop or managed building, explain how the site is occupied and which areas can be accessed. Agree any operational restrictions, isolation windows and limitations before the inspection.

For a Bedford home or rental property, use our Bedford home and landlord EICR page. For business premises, send the commercial site details through our project enquiry form.

Choose the right inspection enquiry

This page covers business premises, schools, workshops and managed properties. For a home or rental property in Bedford, see our domestic and landlord EICR information. Tell us the property type, available installation records and why the inspection is needed; the appropriate scope and access arrangements can then be discussed.

Does an EICR include repairs?

An EICR records inspection findings. Any investigation or remedial work arising from those findings needs its own agreed scope and quotation. Our electrical maintenance page explains how existing reports can inform an enquiry.

For a commercial EICR in Bedford, Milton Keynes or a nearby service area, send the site details, previous report and preferred timescale.
