Three-phase power and electrical distribution
ARM Electrix discusses three-phase distribution, equipment supplies and electrical alterations for commercial and industrial premises. Share the existing installation information and the equipment requirements so the electrical scope can be assessed for the actual site.

Distribution and equipment supplies
Projects may involve distribution-board alterations, new circuits, industrial sockets or supplies to workshop equipment. The existing capacity, protection, cable routes and proposed loads must be assessed before equipment and installation details are agreed. Provide equipment schedules, drawings and existing circuit information where available.
The electrical supply to a machine is distinct from its controls, specialist design and commissioning. Agree those interfaces with the equipment supplier and site team rather than assuming they form part of the electrical package.
Cable routes and containment
Cable tray, ladder, trunking and conduit can support a practical route through workshops, factories and other commercial spaces. Share access restrictions, structural constraints and future equipment plans so the containment and supply arrangement can be discussed together.
Working around an operating site
Tell us who can authorise isolations, when affected areas can be accessed and whether production or tenants must continue operating. Shutdown windows, site inductions and coordination with other contractors should be agreed before work starts. Appropriate inspection, testing and handover documentation should be part of the agreed scope.
Questions before requesting a quote
Can an existing distribution board be extended?
That depends on its condition, available capacity and the requirements of the proposed equipment. Supply the board details and any recent inspection records for assessment.
Will the work interrupt operations?
Some alterations require isolation. Explain the site’s operational constraints so a suitable programme can be discussed; no uninterrupted-work promise can be made without reviewing the installation.
